Future Plans
To grow - deeper, bolder, wider, bigger
We want to develop our parish outreach with our successful Luncheon Club for older residents, run by our active Mother’s Union, “Teddy Bears” and “Coffee Pot” – our popular parent and toddler groups - and continue our “Open the Book” work, where a team brings biblical stories to one of our local primary schools. There will be lots of exciting opportunities for local mission in the numerous local housing developments, including a very large residential and commercial development at nearby Cooper’s Edge.
ASPIRATIONS FOR THE FUTURE
To become:
a church for all generations with an emphasis on including and integrating children, young people and elderly members into the life of the church
a relevant church that desires to engage with contemporary culture
a caring church developing appropriate structures and networks to enable effective care for one another, especially in times of needan outward looking church that seeks to develop links both with the community and with those engaged with global mission
